Theodore Lewis “Ted” Dillon, age 76, of the Lees Creek Community, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at his home with family by his side. Ted was born December 30, 1947, in Hillsboro, Ohio the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Leaverton) Dillon. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Wilmington American Legion Post #49. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping with his family at Hickory Hills. Ted retired after more than 31 years of service from Kautex-Textron in Wilmington. He is survived by his wife Mary Leann (Rose) Dillon, to whom he married December 12, 1981 in Wilmington; children, Angela Marie Dillon of Germany, Brian (Debbie) Mitchell of Lees Creek, and Deann Mitchell of Amelia; grandchildren, Billy, Harriet and her husband Dustin, and Harley; siblings, Charles (Donna) Dillon, Jr. of Arkansas, David (Alice) Dillon of Leesburg, Angela Marie (Ron) Rumer of Leesburg, Therese (Owen) Eveland of South Bloomfield, Ohio, and Jocelyn (Alan) Rapp of Boston, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. In addition to his parents, Ted is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amanda Nicole Jones, and brother Roger Dillon. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Aoril 6, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard immediately following services at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
