Tonya Yvette (Knedler) Gunning

Tonya Yvette (Knedler) Gunning, age 59, of Greenfield, Ohio, passed away April 3, 2024, at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, Ohio. She was born August 3, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Robert George Knedler, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Fox (Byrd). Tonya was a homemaker that loved animals, angels and collecting trinkets. She was small in stature but was definitely a "spitfire". She loved her family and her life very much. Tonya is survived by her mother, Sarah Elizabeth Fox of Leesburg; brother, Allen "Kenny" Knedler of Florida; daughter, Amanda (Nick) DeHart of Fairborn; sons, Cody Nathaniel Gunning and Cory Alan - James Gunning of Greenfield and Robert G. Knedler, Jr. of Monroe; grandchildren, Allyson, Jordan, Trenton and Rilyn; great-grandson, Leo; and a special friend, Tanya Vaughn of Arizona. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert George Knedler, Sr.; son, Jonathan David Riley Gunning; cousin, Scott Hurd; and fiance, Enze "Pudd'n" Knisely. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday April 8, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
